It’s great to see all of you back on campus for the start of what promises to be an exciting and productive academic year. I hope you found time this summer to rest, reflect, and re-energize. There are many things that make this an extraordinary University, but the most remarkable thing is you, our students, faculty, and staff.
As we kick off the Fall 2022 Semester, I have three challenges I want to extend to all Spartans.
Live your purpose.
Each of us is here for a reason. Stay anchored to your “why” and lean into it every day. It will raise your spirits and steel your resolve as you strive to accomplish individual and collective goals.Focus on wellness.
Your health and well-being are our top priority. Remain vigilant for your personal health and the overall wellness of this community. Make healthy choices, rest when you can, and extend care and compassion to others, asking for and providing assistance when needed.
Take advantage of every opportunity and experience the year has to offer. Show up ready to learn and grow, and remain committed to contributing your best at all times. We are greater together.
