Colleagues,
Welcome back! I enjoyed seeing many of you at the annual State of the Campus and around our residence halls this week volunteering with Move-In. I met many incoming students and their families the last few days and their excitement is contagious. The campus is just not the same without their energy.
Monday is a big day for students joining the Spartan community. As part of the freshly conceived new student convocation experience, NAV1GATE, you’ll see them moving around campus throughout the day in brightly colored shirts denoting their areas of study. We encourage you to add to the mix by joining us for Blue and Gold Monday. Though a long-standing tradition on Fridays, this is the perfect way to show your Spartan Spirit and set the tone for the new academic year. I’ve already heard from many students that seeing all of the staff and faculty volunteers has made them feel at home, which is essential to their success.
You can also share welcome messages with our 125th class of students by tagging your social media posts #NAV1GATEUNCG.
For additional information, including details on road closures to facilitate the safe movement of students, be sure to visit the NAV1GATE website.
