Homecoming 2017 is almost here! Next week, the Spartan community from near and far will come together to celebrate our 125th anniversary and the spirit of UNCG.
I hope you will join fellow alumni, students, faculty and staff for a fun week of events honoring some of our greatest traditions – and maybe make a few new ones along the way. Here are some Homecoming highlights:
- Monday, October 16 – Homecoming kick-off for students at Kaplan Commons, 3-7 p.m.
- Friday, October 20 – Join us as we “light up Kaplan Commons” with the annual bonfire featuring food trucks, fireworks, music and more beginning at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, October 21 – The Block Party at Kaplan Commons starts at 3 p.m. with something for everyone: live music from Sleeping Booty, free photo booths, great food and more – students eat free! Cheer on the Spartans when men’s soccer takes on SoCon rival Mercer at 7 p.m.
We’re calling all Spartans to come together and celebrate UNCG. Wear your Blue and Gold all week long. Participate, share your experiences and help UNCG make this special 125th-anniversary edition of Homecoming a week to remember.
