Colleagues:
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Patricia M. Lynch as associate vice chancellor and chief human resources officer. Patricia has served as interim with exceptional dedication and leadership since January 2025, and we are thrilled to see her continue in this role permanently.
Lynch joined UNCG in 2017 as director of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action, leading the University’s EEO compliance programs. Since then, she has taken on a series of increasingly senior leadership roles within Human Resources. She was named interim director of EEO, Affirmative Action, and Employee Relations in 2021; director of that unit in 2022; and executive director of Human Resources in 2024, overseeing EEO, Employee Relations, Learning and Organizational Development; and serving in an interim capacity as associate vice chancellor and chief human resources officer.
Before joining UNCG, Lynch held human resources leadership positions with Hilton Hotels, Guilford Child Development, and Dart Container Corporation, where she managed key HR functions including benefits administration, talent acquisition, employee development, payroll, and employee relations.
Lynch holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from UNCG, which she earned while working full time at the University. She is credentialed as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and is a certified employment mediator with the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources.
An engaged leader both on campus and in the broader community, Lynch serves as board secretary for the Triangle Industry Liaison Group and chair of the Women’s Resource Center, and she maintains active professional affiliations with College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), Human Resource Management Association of Greensboro (HRMAG), and SHRM. Lynch is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Please join us in congratulating Patricia on her permanent appointment and thanking her for her continued leadership and dedication to UNCG.
