Student Appreciation Night

Posted on April 08, 2017

On Saturday night, I was lucky to be at Fleming Gym for an epic and exciting Men’s Basketball win over VMI. Those of you who came to the game made us proud with your energy, spirit and LOUD voices!

That set UNCG up for something even bigger – a shot at a share of the Southern Conference regular season title and a #1 seed in the SoCon Tournament in Asheville. It comes down to one game when we battle ETSU at the Greensboro Coliseum at 7 p.m. on Monday. I encourage you to help cheer our Spartans to victory and make the Coliseum as loud and supportive as possible for our team.

It’s also Student Appreciation Night, which means giveaways and drawings all night long. The first 1,000 students will receive souvenir UNCG gold solo cups and the next 750 students will receive a mystery gift. Plus, we’ll have drawings for prizes such as a Spring Break trip to Panama City Beach, Barberitos burritos for a year, a $200 VISA gift card, a $200 Nike package, a party at Natty Greene’s and more!

This is our chance to send out seniors RJ White (Communication Studies) and Diante Baldwin (Sociology) with a full house – and help inspire our Spartans as they play for a championship! As always, admission is FREE with your UNCG student ID. Doors open at 6 p.m. Student Shuttles will depart in front of the EUC and Spartan Village beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Arrive early. Be loud. Wear your BLUE & GOLD and let’s get this SoCon title!
